October
has been a busy month at Newport Shipyard with over
a dozen large yachts out of the water and being repaired/refit
before heading South for the winter (or in some cases,
staying at Newport Shipyard for a few months for re-paint,
carpentry work, and rigging replaced/repaired).
"This has been one of the busiest Octobers in
Shipyard history," said Dock Master Eli
Dana. With boats like Eleonora, Knickerbocker,
Windcrest, Chippewa, Freedom, Looking for Elvis, Four
Jacks, Kizbel and more now on the hard, our team
of marine specialists and local contractors are busier
than ever."
Following one of the busiest summers on Newport Shipyard
record (with events like Newport-Bermuda Race Kick-Off
Party, American Superyacht Forum, Brokerage Boat Show
and more), Newport Shipyard would like to thank all
the Boat Owners, Captains and Crew who made this year
one of the best! We look forward to seeing
you all next season! |
